This Privacy Policy explains how Rowhome Labs, LLC ("Rowhome Labs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Calendar Vision on the web, iOS, Android, or through related services.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information such as your name, email address, password, and time zone.
  • Images, screenshots, and other files you upload for event extraction.
  • Web page URLs you submit so we can capture and process those pages.
  • Emails you forward to Calendar Vision for processing.
  • Support requests, feature requests, bug reports, and other messages you send us.

Information collected through app features

  • Approximate or precise location data if you choose to share it with the app.
  • Device photos or camera images if you grant access and choose content to upload.
  • Push notification tokens so we can send notifications you have enabled.
  • Guest account recovery information if you use Calendar Vision without registering first.

Information from connected accounts and services

  • If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account information needed to authenticate you, such as your name and email address.
  • If you connect Gmail inbox sync, we receive Gmail account information, OAuth tokens, sender details, email subjects, and email content necessary to find calendar events in messages you authorize us to access.

Information collected automatically

  • Log and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Session and preference cookies used to keep you signed in and remember app state.
  • Privacy-focused website analytics collected through Simple Analytics.
  • Error and diagnostic information used to monitor reliability and investigate problems.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Calendar Vision.
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts, guest accounts, and subscriptions.
  • Extract calendar events from images, emails, and web pages.
  • Generate event-related embeddings and other metadata used by product features such as duplicate detection.
  • Power location search, address lookup, and location-aware event suggestions.
  • Send transactional emails, service notifications, and push notifications you have enabled.
  • Detect abuse, enforce our terms, debug issues, and comply with legal obligations.

How AI Processing Works

When you submit an image, email, or web page to Calendar Vision, we may send the relevant content, extracted text, and related metadata to AI service providers, including OpenAI, to identify event details and return structured results. We may also generate embeddings for calendar events to support application features such as similarity checks and deduplication.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following situations:

  • With service providers that help us operate the product and provide hosting, analytics, authentication, AI processing, location services, error reporting, notifications, email handling, and subscription management.
  • With Google or Apple when you choose those sign-in or connected account features.
  • With RevenueCat to manage subscription status and subscription-related callbacks.
  • With APNs or Firebase Cloud Messaging when sending push notifications.
  • When you intentionally create or use a public calendar or public event link, including public ICS subscription links.
  • When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.

Third-Party Services We Use

Depending on the features you use, Calendar Vision currently relies on third-party providers including:

  • OpenAI for event extraction and related AI processing.
  • Google for Google sign-in, Gmail sync, and some location-related services.
  • Mapbox for location search and reverse geocoding features.
  • RevenueCat for subscription management.
  • Simple Analytics for website analytics.
  • Airbrake for error monitoring.
  • Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, remembering preferences, and maintaining app state. We also use Simple Analytics in production to understand website usage. If you block cookies, some parts of the service may not work correctly.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ depending on the kind of data, whether your account is active, and whether data is needed for security, billing, or operational reasons.

Your Choices

  • You can update parts of your profile information from within the app.
  • You can disconnect Gmail inbox sync from the app settings.
  • You can disable location, camera, photo library, or notification permissions in your device settings.
  • You can request account deletion from the app. At this time, account deletion requests are processed by our team rather than completed instantly in self-service.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Calendar Vision is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have data protection laws different from the laws in your jurisdiction.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
